Our take
I picked up this pair of 3-pound cast iron dumbbells because I wanted something light for rehab work. They're clearly older—the patina and wear give them character, but the cast iron is solid. At 7.5 inches long, they fit my hands fine. They're nothing fancy, no grip coating or ergonomic shaping, just bare metal. For $20 a pair, they're a fair deal if you need very light weights and appreciate the vintage look. But I wouldn't recommend them for serious training; the worn surface can be a bit slippery, and the weight is too low for most strength work.
